BTAs to enhance event content with new deal
The British Travel Awards (BTA) has signed a partnership with Park Publishing, which will financially invest in the business development of the awards.
Organisers say the collaboration ‘will ensure that on every level the BTAs continue to be the market leader in the travel industry’s awards sector’.
As part of the collaboration, BTA CEO and founder Lorraine Barnes Burton (pictured) will work alongside Nicola Young, CEO of Park Publishing, to develop the partnership.
BTA CEO Lorraine Barnes Burton said: "Park Publishing and the British Travel Awards have worked together for over 10 years on various behind-the-scenes production elements of the BTAs, including production of the event brochure for the BTAs gala night, which has raised thousands of pounds for our chosen charities each year.
"We are now looking forward to working more closely with the whole team at Park Publishing to enhance the BTA event content further, and to increase consumer facing sponsorship and support of the awards programme beyond the immediate perimeters of the travel industry."
Park Publishing is a specialist in corporate events and fundraising and works with brands such as British Airways, JD Sports, John Lewis Partnership, Marriott Hotels, Sainsbury’s and Tesco to raise millions of pounds for their chosen charities.
The existing BTA team will remain in place, and Kevin Savage of Image Refinery, who runs the BTA back office controlling the stringent voting process, will continue to work closely with BTA nominees and winners to ensure best practice.
The British Travel Awards is a proudly independent organisation, with all votes verified by Deloitte.
The BTAs are the only travel industry accolade voted for exclusively by the travelling public, and the BTA winners’ logo is a recognised brand of excellence and a valuable asset to the travel industry’s consumer facing marketing and advertising campaigns.
The awards take place at a gala event in November each year.
