Budget carriers post dismal January figures

Budget carriers Wizz Air and Ryanair have posted dismal January figures with passenger numbers sinking 82% and 88% respectively.
Wizz Air carried 573,692 passengers in the month and operated a capacity of 940,000, down 73% on January 2020. The carrier had a load factor of 61%.
Ryanair meanwhile operated just 15% of its normal capacity, with load factors of 69%. It carried 1.3 million passengers compared with 10.8 million in January 2020.
