Budget chain Oyo opens Seattle regional office
India’s Oyo Hotels & Homes’ rapidly expanding global empire has added a new US market.
It hired former Uber manager Alejandro Chouza to head up a new regional office in Seattle.
Chouza was former general manager of Uber’s northwest operations.
The office located in Seattle’s Pioneer Square district will spearhead Oyo’s growth plans for the US Pacific Northwest.
The budget hotel chain has big hopes for the US with plans to invest $300 million across the country.
It has a presence in about 35 cities already with more than 50 properties and recently announced the acquisition of Las Vegas’ Hooters Hotel and Casino.
"There is massive potential for Oyo in the northwest USA and I am confident that Oyo will become one of the top hotel companies in the northwest by next year," Chouza said.
