Buzz announces Bournemouth routes

Friday, 14 Nov, 2002 0

Buzz has announced seven routes, domestic and European, that it will fly from its new base at Bournemouth.

The seven services, which start in March 2003, are to Amsterdam, Belfast, Bergerac, Glasgow-Prestwick, Malaga, Murcia and Paris CDG. Fares will start at £19 one way, and with the exception of Paris, are already on sale.

The no-frills carrier intends to base two 148-seater 737-300 aircraft at Bournemouth.

Buzz chief commercial officer, Tony Camacho, said he hoped the launch would position Bournemouth as one of the UK’s leading low cost bases.

He said: “Our domestic route selection sees the South Coast benefit for the first time from low cost fares to Scotland and Northern Ireland at a fraction of the price of British Airways”.
