Canvas Holidays expands under new ownership
Specialist camping operator Canvas Holidays has added 35 new sites across Europe.
Canvas, which is now under the ownership of French company Vacalians Group, is celebrating 50 years in business in 2015.
Managing director Simon Allan said: “We have some exciting new product and destinations to add to our portfolio already and expect to add more in the coming months.”
New campsites added to the 2015 Canvas portfolio include four in Languedoc-Roussillon; three in South West France; two in Provence; one in Cevennes; one in Corsica and one in North Brittany.
A new brand, Tohapi by Canvas, will add a further 23 sites to the portfolio, in Lake Garda, Italy; the Adriatic; Costa Dorada, Spain, and across France, including the Cote d’Azur, Languedoc-Roussillon, Provence, South West France, Dordogne, Loire Valley, Ardeche, Vend-©e, French Alps and Jura.
“Tohapi by Canvas is an extension of the existing Canvas brand and will offer our customers a wider selection of destinations and experiences to choose from,” said Allan.
“With a slightly different proposition and pricing structure, we’re confident that this new offering will attract both loyal Canvas clientele and those new to our brand, broadening our horizons into some exciting new locations”.
In total, Canvas features family camping holidays in 110 sites across nine European countries.
