Carrick takes non-exec role
Richard Carrick, the former chief executive of Hoseasons, has joined the parent company of Malmaison and Hotel du Vin as a non-executive director.
Carrick, who is also chairman of online private jet booking firm PrivateFly, joins the board of MWB Group Holdings Plc with immediate effect.
Announcing the appointment, the group said: “Richard brings with him invaluable experience of both the hotel and leisure sectors.
“His experience at Hoseasons and within the leisure industry qualifies him well for the role. He will bring a wealth of experience to the board and we look forward to working with him.”
The announcement came as the group, which also runs serviced offices, reported a rise in losses for the six months to December to £15.8 million, compared to £11.6 million for the same period the previous year.
Chairman Eric Sanderson said: “We expect the next six months to continue to be challenging.
“There are both positive and negative aspects to the current trading environment in which we operate and we will continue to seek to take advantage of the positive and mitigate the negative.”
