Hong Kong’s Cathay Pacific will increase capacity on its Boston-Hong Kong route later this year.
The current four times a week service will increase to five from May 5, 2016, just a year after opening the route.
Additional flight CX811t will operate on Thursdays using Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
"New England travellers have welcomed Cathay Pacific with open arms and we have been heartened by the positive response to our non-stop Boston to Hong Kong service," said Philippe Lacamp, senior vice president, Americas for Cathay.
"This service has cut over four hours from the previous one-stop flight time to Hong Kong via JFK or Chicago and introduced a truly premium international travel experience to Asia. New England customers have clearly spoken – they want more flexibility and greater choice for their Asia travels."
The airline operates to eight North American cities from its Hong Kong hub – Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York JFK, Newark Liberty, San Francisco, Vancouver and Toronto.
