Cayman Islands may limit large cruise ships
A year without cruise ship calls has left destinations questioning how badly they want cruise tourism in the future. The Cayman Islands may be the latest to have reached a tipping point.
Cayman Premier Alden McLaughlin said calls by large cruise ships could be limited when cruising resumes. Residents and business owners have been clear that they want a more balanced approach and don’t want to see the destination overrun by cruisers. Up to five ships can arrive in a single day during peak season.
