Celebrity Cruises issues dedicated Europe and Med brochure
Celebrity Cruises has launched its first ever dedicated Europe and Mediterranean brochure for the 2010 season (see previous TravelMolestory).
The new brochure, which sees the newest ship, Celebrity Eclipse, based from Southampton, will have the largest ever distribution amongst British and Irish travel agents, homeworkers and cruise specialists of any brochure produced by the premium brand.
Michael English, head of field sales, Celebrity Cruises, said: “Celebrity Cruises is ramping up its profile across the British and Irish travel industry.
“The brand-dedicated sales team came into full force last year and has helped agents achieve some great sales increases, particularly in the specialist cruise agent community.
“For Celebrity Eclipse’s 2010 Southampton-based season we took the first booking five minutes after we opened the new itineraries for sale, this demonstrates that our channelled approach with agents is working.
“We believe that we will carry on seeing a rise in traditional cruisers engaging with our product, as we are continuing to deliver agents with the best tools with which to switch sell Celebrity Cruises.”
In summer 2010 Celebrity Cruises will have the three newest fleet additions – Celebrity Solstice (November 2008), Celebrity Equinox (July 2009) and Celebrity Eclipse (April 2010) – all based from European homeports.
