Cendant Hotel Group signed an agreement with Groople Inc. to offer special rates for leisure group travel planners.

Discounted group inventory is being offered for participating Super 8, Days Inn, Ramada, Travelodge, Howard Johnson, Knights Inn, Wingate Inn and AmeriHost Inn franchised hotels.

The agreement will ensure that retail group rates for Cendant-franchised hotel rooms are displayed prominently on groople.com., an online group travel booking company that caters to the leisure market.

The agreement boosts the company’s inventory by nearly 60%, according to Groople CEO David Loy.

The New York-based Cendant Corporation is primarily a provider of travel and residential real estate services to businesses and consumers in more than 100 countries.
