Leading Chinese carrier China Eastern Airlines has announced a network expansion in North America with a new three times a week service connecting Vancouver with Nanjing.
Flights will be operated by an Airbus A330-200 on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays from Nanjing.
It becomes the third Vancouver route for China Eastern after launching Shanghai flights in 2004 and to Kunming in 2015.
"We are very pleased to hear that China Eastern will soon start service to Nanjing, one of China’s most beautiful and dynamic cities. I want to thank China Eastern for their continued support and for further connecting YVR to the world," said Craig Richmond, Vancouver Airport CEO.
Xiangying Rong, general manager of China Eastern Airlines, Vancouver said: "This provides passengers with more options when flying with China Eastern to China and beyond."
