China Eastern Airlines set to launch Istanbul flights

China Eastern Airlines has opened sales for new Istanbul flights, which commence on 28 September.
Flights from Shanghai Pudong Airport will operate three times weekly on Airbus A330 aircraft.
Flag carrier Turkish Airlines currently serves the route with daily flights.
The new route marks the first time a Chinese airline will operate nonstop Istanbul flights from Shanghai.
Flight timings enable easy connections across Europe, Africa and beyond, the airline says.
The new Istanbul flights will run on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from Shanghai.
China Eastern Airlines recently narrowed quarterly losses for the second quarter.
It announced losses of 2.4 billion yuan, down from 3.8 billion yuan in the first quarter.
The airline also plans to increase US flights to LAX and New York JFK.
