China Eastern Airlines to boost stake in Air France-KLM
China Eastern Airlines is planning to increase its stake in Air France-KLM.
The Shanghai based airline will contribute to Air France-KLM’s €1 billion share issue. China Eastern Airlines will invest as much as €168 million to take its shareholding from 8.8% to 10%.
China Eastern Airlines first took an equity stake in Air France-KLM in 2017, and they have a long term strategic partnership which has involves codesharing and a joint venture. Both airline groups have said they will extend their partnership further.
