China to start Boeing Max re-certification
A Boeing 737 Max jet arrived in China as the aviation regulator finally prepares to start testing and approval to return the grounded jet back to service. Boeing and China’s regulator have earmarked re-certification flights and testing in the coming days, Reuters reports.
Testing will begin with a simulator flight on 8 August and then the first flight test in China on 11 August. The US has been pushing China to start re-certification of the Max jet.
Boeing CEO Dave Calhoun has said he expects the 737 Max to be approved to fly again by China before the year-end.
