Chinese traveller found with human limbs in bag

Security staff screening the belongings of a Chinese traveller at a bus station got a huge shock after discovering two human arms inside a bag.

The amputated limbs were spotted inside the bag of a 50-year old passenger at a bus station in Duyun in Guizhou province last week.

He was immediately detained under suspicion of possible involvement in murder, local media reported.

However the man was eventually able to convince authorities there was no foul play.

The limbs were once attached to his older brother but had to be amputated after being electrocuted.

He was following the brother’s request to take the amputated arms back to the family home for safekeeping.

He explained it is the village’s custom to bury the whole body when somebody dies.

The brother is still going undergoing post-operative treatment and police were able to verify the story with the hospital.

However he was banned from transporting the limbs by bus due to safety and hygiene reasons.
