clickair extends online check-in initiative to London
Spanish airline clickair has launched ‘click&fly’ check-in at London Heathrow and plans to roll the service out to Gatwick shortly.
The service allows UK and European-originating passengers to select their seat and print their boarding pass as soon as the booking is confirmed, even if the date of travel is six months away.
It is already available on most other clickair routes from Spain.
This year, the airline will also allow business travellers to pay €30 extra to secure the middle seat on the first few rows of its Airbus A320 aircraft (the B and E seats).
Available on over 200 flights, the seat is available for flights on sale from March 28 and will be available until the June 15.
The airline is marketing these as ‘Premium Plus Seats’, along with its existing Premium Seats in the first few aisles and emergency seat rows, which cost €10.
This week clickair will take delivery of its 23rd Airbus A320 and in February it will get its 24th.
New routes to Tel Aviv, Cairo and Istanbul currently planned for the summer.
Additional new domestic and international routes will be announced shortly to further strengthen the current 50-strong European network.
Barcelona-based Clickair currently operates a 23-strong fleet of Airbus A320 aircraft.
