Club Med will open two new ski resorts by the end of 2017, one in France and the other in Japan.
Next month it will open the 4 Trident flagship family ski resort, Grand Massif Samoens Morillion.
Built on the edge of a cliff, the 420-room resort will have direct access to two main skiing areas, the Massif and Flaine.
Just over an hour from Geneva airport, the resort will have a dedicated ski room for children, a climbing wall, music room, art studio, snow garden for little ones, an indoor and outdoor heated pool, gym and restaurant featuring a menu created by famed Michelin star chef, Edouard Loubet.
Meanwhile, to satisfy the demand for longer-haul ski destinations, Club Med will also open a second resort in Japan, Tomamu, in December.
This ski-in, ski-out resort also offers snow trekking, snow rafting and sledging, along with an indoor heated wave pool and outdoor hot spring baths.
Parents can go out for the day and leave their children in a ‘magical’ snow garden, while teenagers can enjoy Club Med Passworld, which offers them chance to try DJ’ing and graffiti art.
The hotel has two main restaurants serving traditional Japanese food, and a Zen Bar.
The openings come as Club Med reports total sales up 10% year on year and that the total winter 2017/2018 season sales have increased by 31% compared this time last year.
It said last winter was a record season for the group with an overall 12% increase in the number of clients visiting ski resorts.
