Condor Ferries and Active Hotels sail into collaboration
Condor Ferries announced today it has signed a partnership deal with Active Hotels as part of its new ‘Condor Xtras’ service. Condor Xtras offer Condor Ferries customers additional services such as car hire, breakdown cover, travel insurance and hotel bookings. Its ‘Stopover Hotels’ booking service is now powered by Active Hotels, a Priceline Europe company and one of the leading online hotel reservations providers in Europe.
Chris Merrell, Condor Ferries Marketing Manager says: “We have chosen Active Hotels for its hotel coverage in our key destinations, namely Dorset, Hampshire, Brittany, Vendee and the West of France. With a large selection of independent and chain hotels in and around these locations, our customers can now easily book a stopover hotel at the same time as their ferry ticket.”
Active Hotels has a strong foothold in France which represents the second largest market for the company after the UK. Last year partnership agreements were signed with the Rouen and Carnac tourist authorities as a result of the company’s prominent hotel offering in Brittany and Normandy.
Sandrine Aymard, Sales Manager for Active Hotels stated: “Condor Ferries is a well-established travel company and we are proud to become their hotel provider of choice. Together we look forward to providing customers with great ferry and hotel deals and enhancing their holiday experience on both sides of the channel.”
To launch the partnership, Active Hotels is offering free breakfasts in a selection of hotels in France to all Condor Ferries customers provided they book their hotel online through the Condor Xtras ‘Hotel Stopover’ service*. See:
