Conrad Jupiters Completes $53.5m Refurbishment.

Conrad Jupiters $53.5 million refurbishment of its casino facilities is now complete in time for the properties’ month long birthday celebrations throughout November.

The official opening of the new look Jupiters Casino will take place on November 23 in conjunction with Conrad Jupiters 21st Birthday and the refurbishment was funded by Conrad Jupiters owners, Tabcorp.

Under the refurbishment project, all casino and gaming operations were consolidated on one refurbished and expanded gaming floor and stylish balconies were added that provide stunning views of the Broadbeach area and the Gold Coast skyline.

Mr Xavier Walsh, Managing Director Jupiters Ltd said, “This is the biggest upgrade of Conrad Jupiters in the 21-year history of the casino and hotel complex,” adding “Since construction began in August 2005, the project has provided hundreds of jobs in the local area and the new facilities will certainly bring economic benefits to the region.”

“Conrad Jupiters is a Queensland icon and the $53.5 million investment has ensured the hotel and casino complex continues to be a leading entertainment destination for local, national and international customers on the Gold Coast,” he added.

The new northern wing of the casino features the Quid bar, which offers the ultimate cocktail menu with stylish and contemporary décor and funky lounge atmosphere for the perfect night out.

Located in the new southern wing is Bite, a new casual dining restaurant that provides customers with additional dining options to the hotels five award winning restaurants, featuring floor to ceiling windows which provides guests with stunning views of Broadbeach and the Gold Coast.

Located in the heart of the casino is the new J Bar, where you can refuel with a tasty cocktail or cold beer without leaving the excitement of the gaming floor for one minute.

Highlights of the overall refurbishment project included:

All casino and gaming operations were consolidated to one floor, creating an extra 3,500 square metres of additional space;

The new casino floor has been totally refurbished with contemporary furnishings, lighting and the latest gaming products;

New large balconies off the main gaming floor provide views of Broadbeach;

News lounge areas on the gaming floor were added for people to relax; and

A stylish single entry onto the main gaming floor.

Mr Walsh added: “The completion of the refurbishment is a very exciting stage for Conrad Jupiters as we can now provide what our customers have been asking for and that is a rejuvenated gaming floor, greater food options, lounge areas, balconies and live entertainment.”  “We also believe that the upgrade has put the property in a better position for the future and provides greater flexibility for us to cater for our customers ever changing needs.”
