Copa Airlines is expanding again in the US with the announcement of its 12th route to San Francisco.
From September 17 Copa will begin one daily round-trip flight to its hub in Panama City using Boeing 737-800 jets.
"This new service offers a world of possibilities to our customers, with connections to 55 cities in Latin America," said SFO airport director John Martin.
"We appreciate Copa Airlines’ selection of SFO for its growth in the United States."
Copa has ramped up expansion to US cities in recent years with new routes such as Boston, Fort Lauderdale, Las Vegas and Tampa.
"Our flight has the potential to make a substantial contribution to tourism and general economic development between California, Panama and the rest of the Latin American region," Copa CEO Pedro Heilbron said in a statement.
