Cromwell Las Vegas is last Strip resort to reopen after Covid closure
The last Las Vegas Strip resort to open is now back in business.
The Cromwell Las Vegas started welcoming visitors again after a long closure since mid-March.
The Caesars Entertainment owned hotel-casino is the first to change to an adults-only resort on the Las Vegas Strip, and open only to guests 21 and over.
It is also one of the smallest on the Strip, with 188 rooms and a 40,000-square-feet casino.
The opening sees 350 employees get their jobs back, and management says it hopes to bring more staff back as business picks up.
"It’s a moment that’s been over six months in the making," said Senior Vice President and General Manager Ken Janssen.
During the closure it was used as a base for the CBS dating show Love Island.
The Cromwell will have a ‘continued emphasis on enhanced health and safety protocols,’ it said.
It follows the opening of Circa Resort & Casino a day earlier, which is the first entirely new resort built in downtown Las Vegas for decades.
Circa is also an adults-only property.
