Crystal Cruises is returning with refurbished ships, and a shorter name.

Crystal announced its restart plans under owner The A&K Travel Group.

Crystal Serenity relaunches the brand  on July 31 with a voyage from Marseille to Lisbon.

The company also owns Crystal Symphony.

Both ships have been updated with roomier suites and refreshed spas and gyms.

Each ship will have nine dining venues.

“Crystal is reborn, with enhancements made to every part of our guests’ journey,” Crystal president Jack Anderson said.

Ships will sail globally including the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, Asia and Alaska.

Its tagline is ‘Exceptional at Sea.’

Ashore, excursions and tours will be handled by sister brand Abercrombie & Kent.

Crystal is doubling down on travel advisor engagement with higher commissions.
