David Radcliffe to join GBT Board
David Radcliffe, CEO of Hogg Robinson Group, is to join the Board of American Express Global Business Travel (GBT) once it becomes the new owner of HRG.
The deal, subject to regulatory approval, is expected to be finalised shortly.
Radcliffe began working for HRG in 1978, joined its Board in 1989, and was appointed CEO in 1997, when he led the company’s repositioning as a focused corporate services group.
He is also a non-executive director of Wincanton plc, the transport and logistics services provider, and a member of its Audit, Nominations and Remunerations Committees.
Greg O’Hara, chairman of the Board GBT, said: "I will be delighted to welcome David to the GBT Board following the completion of GBT’s acquisition of HRG. He brings a wealth of industry experience and expertise and will play an important role as we integrate HRG, delivering continuity and helping to provide value for all stakeholders and shareholders."
Radcliffe added: "I’m excited to be given the opportunity to join the Board of the combined group following the completion of GBT’s acquisition of HRG and to work with the best talent and technology from both organisations."
Radcliffe is a Companion of the Chartered Management Institute and has also been inducted into BTN’s Hall of Fame in North America and the British Travel and Hospitality Hall of Fame in the UK.
