Delta expands Heathrow services

Friday, 7 December 20123 min read

Delta Air Lines will add a third daily flight between London Heathrow and Atlanta’s Hartsfield Jackson International Airport from March 31.

"In just five years, we will have gone from no Heathrow flights to nine daily nonstop services to five US cities," said Perry Cantarutti, Delta’s senior vice president Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

The airline is also beginning to install wi-fi on its fleet of more than 150 international aircraft.

This week it opened a lounge at Chelsea Football Club’s Stamford Bridge ground as part of a new sponsorship agreement.

Located in the Millennium and Copthorne Hotel, it is used exclusively by Delta on match days and is open to hotel guests and members of the public at other times.
