Delta Air Lines has announced a new daily flight linking its Seattle hub with Milwaukee.
Milwaukee-to-Seattle service is open for sales now and will begin on March 9, 2017.
The carrier is touting ‘convenient, one-stop access to Asia via Seattle to Tokyo-Narita, Hong Kong, Seoul, Beijing and Shanghai’ for flyers at Milwaukee County’s General Mitchell International Airport.
Delta will face competition from Southwest and Alaska Airlines which also serve the route.
Delta Connection partner carrier SkyWest Airlines will operate the flights on Embraer 175 aircraft.
"This new service to Delta’s Seattle hub will give our travelers even more ways to travel to the Pacific Northwest, Alaska and beyond," said county executive Chris Abele said.
Delta is the second largest carrier at MKE with about 25% of seat capacity.
