Delta Air Lines has tapped flight amenity data company Routehappy to enhance its booking experience for customers.
Delta will trial the Routehappy Hub, which offers a more transparent flight search, listing content by aircraft, class of service, airport, route and fare.
Delta will add content in Routehappy’s UTA (Universal Ticket Attribute) and UPA (Universal Product Attribute) standards, which the airline says provides a more retail oriented shopping experience.
These tools can easily be integrated into online travel agencies, metasearch, corporate and agency booking platforms.
Routehappy content features icons, photos, videos, and 360-degree virtual tours for specific flights and products.
"We are committed to ensuring our customers have the best travel shopping experience," said Chris Phillips, managing director – distribution strategy at Delta.
"We’re very proud of our best-in-class products, and Routehappy Hub will help us more effectively merchandise our unique product offerings at the point of sale, so customers can make a more informed purchase decision. We also support Routehappy’s mission to help us de-commoditize the shopping experience and we look forward to partnering with distributors to reinforce the Delta difference."
The Routehappy Scores and Amenities API details flight scores and cabin amenities such as aircraft type, seat configuration, entertainment offerings, availability of Wi-Fi, food and flight duration.
