Delta to end policy of blocking middle seats
Delta Air Lines will finally stop blocking middle seats on flights starting in May.
It is the last major US airline still blocking seats for physical distancing and has been doing so for more than a year.
Alaska Airlines dropped seat blocking policy in January while airlines including JetBlue, Southwest, and Hawaiian Airlines stopped blocking middle seats months ago. Delta ends the policy on 1 May.
Delta reiterated that masks would continue to be mandatory in airports and on flights.
