Delta Air Lines is set to offer free in-flight Wi-Fi next year.

The Wall Street Journal reports the airline is close to meeting a pledge it made years ago.

It has offered it to SkyMiles rewards members.

Delta is expected to roll out free in-flight Wi-Fi to all passengers in early 2023.

Once available to all, it may require a SkyMiles ID to get access, the WSJ said.

It has been a goal of Delta’s since 2018.

The airline also tested limited free Wi-Fi on domestic flights in 2019.

Delta currently uses Viasat and Intelsat for onboard internet access and charges a $5 fee.
