The ‘happiest place on earth’ is getting a little more expensive.
Disney has increased the cost of annual passes at both Disneyland and Disney World for the second time this year.
At Disneyland the top-tier Disney Signature Plus pass, with no blackout dates, is now priced at $1,049 and the Disney Signature, which is good for about 350 days a year, is now $849.
The restricted Deluxe pass price has increased by about $50 to $599.
In addition the $779 Premium Annual Passport is being discontinued but can still be used until the expiry date.
Aside from park entry, top-tier passes include parking, dining and discounts at retail outlets.
Yearly passes for Walt Disney World have also gone up with the Signature Platinum Plus pass – offering access to all four Walt Disney World parks – now retailing at $829.
"We have to look at ways to spread out our attendance throughout the year so we can accommodate demand and avoid bursting at the seams," said Walt Disney Parks and Resorts chairman Bob Chapek.
Disneyland attendance was up more than 3% to 16.7 million in 2014, while Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom in Florida recorded more than 19 million visitors according to data from the Themed Entertainment Association.
