Disney settles $5 million pass holder lawsuit
Disney has settled a $5 million lawsuit which claimed it used deceptive practices against premium annual pass holders.
The suit accused Disney of misleading Dream Key pass holders into thinking they would get unlimited access to parks when that wasn’t the case.
Plaintiff Jenale Nielsen bought a $1,399 Dream Key pass.
She said Disney advertised ‘no blackout dates’ for visits to Disneyland.

Nielsen checked and found the park was open for for single- and multiple-day tickets.
The complaint surmised Disney was restricting yearly passes to maximize revenue from day passes.
That ‘directly contradicts Disney’s advertised promise.’
The company has now made a preliminary settlement.
“We are satisfied that this matter has been resolved,” Disney said
