Ditching Delta, Virgin Australia takes off with United Airlines
Virgin Australia Group agreed a codesharing pact with United Airlines to boost transpacific connectivity. It is set to begin in 2022 pending approvals and replaces Virgin’s partnership with Delta Air Lines.
It will cover connecting flights in the US Australia, Mexico, the Caribbean and South America. The agreement will also allow travellers of each airline to earn loyalty points from the other airline. United customers will get access to connecting services across Australia including Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide.
