Dolphin Dynamics extends tour operator solution to connect seven new accommodation suppliers
London, 31st July 2012 Leading travel software provider Dolphin Dynamics has undertaken an intensive development program to integrate new accommodation suppliers into its booking engine during in the first half of 2012.
The move has been driven by its growing tour operator customer base that requires access to live inventory to supplement directly contracted inventory hosted and managed using Dolphin. The new XML-based connections include AmericanTours International, Exclusively Hotels, FM Tours, Lowcostbeds, Mark International, Medhotels and SERHS Tourism. The newly-connected suppliers are fully bookable, alongside hundreds of low-cost airlines, GDS-sourced flights, accommodation, car-rental and transfer suppliers already connected via Dolphin’s selling platform.
The advanced functionality developed by Dolphin Dynamics with each new supplier allows Dolphin users not just to book, but to amend and cancel reservations too. Sophisticated back-office functionality also supports property de-duping, the automatic merging of supplier location codes and the import of complete property descriptions and images.
Commenting on the technology company’s development strategy, CEO Roberto Da Re said, "Our approach is not about adding as many suppliers as quickly as possible – our customers want the tools to enable them to efficiently manage the entire life-cycle of a booking, as well as search and book, which requires additional product investment. Due to our accelerated development activity at the same time they’re benefiting from access to a fast-growing range of third-party travel partners – whether to complement their directly contracted products or to fill some gaps in their inventory."
