Dolphin taps into OAG
Dolphin Dynamics has clinched a deal that sees it tap into OAG’s comprehensive
database of airline schedules.
The deal means users of Dolphin’s online flight search and book product,
FlightScanner, will have access to OAG’s independent flight schedule information,
which is updated up to ten times per second and is regarded as the most accurate
source of airline schedule information, including no-frills airlines.
Although OAG holds the flight details of up to 1,000 airlines, FlightScanner will only
link to the 55 airlines with which it currently has distribution agreements, but
Dolphin president, Roberto Da Re says the deal will “put FlightScanner in a strong
position for adding additional routes in a timely fashion”.
He added: “The agreement with OAG builds on the growth and success of
FlightScanner to date and ensures we are able to provide our customers with
accurate, comprehensive flight information.”
Travel agents can use FlightScanner to search and book the flights from no-frills
and traditional full-service carriers alongside access to GDS content.
