Don’t chill – change your Latitude with the Tourism Tropical North Queensland Roadshow.
As winter firmly grips Australia’s southern parts, a group of tourism operators from Tropical North Queensland have headed south to brave the elements and invite the public to Change Your Latitude.
The group of eleven Tropical North Queensland tourism operators and representatives of the regional tourism organisation, Tourism Tropical North Queensland, have donned beanies and scarves as they brave unfamiliar chilly temperatures for a two-week roadshow taking in Adelaide, Melbourne, Wodonga, Bathurst, Sydney and Brisbane.
Change Your Latitude is the key message in Tropical North Queensland’s new branding campaign and it’s something well worth considering at this time of year when the days up north are invitingly warm, sunny and clear.
In 2006 Tropical North Queensland welcomed more than 1.5 million Australians who enjoyed the destination’s iconic natural attractions of the Great Barrier reef and rainforest as well as the accessible outback, indigenous experiences, the Tablelands, Cape York, the Gulf Savannah, Mission Beach, the tropical islands and much more.
The roadshow includes various functions in the major stops as well as sales calls to travel agents along the Adelaide to Sydney route to bring them up-to-date on the new Tropical North Queensland branding, provide updates on all the exciting product news from the destination and answer any questions.
The companies participating in the Roadshow are Quicksilver Group of Companies, The Oasis Resort Cairns, Down Under Tours, Stella Hospitality Group, Kuranda Scenic Railway, Poseidon Cruises, Sailaway Port Douglas, The Lakes Cairns Resort & Spa, Rendezvous Reef Resort Port Douglas, Sea Temple Resorts & Spas, Oaks Hotels & Resorts and Tropical Horizons Tours.
Accredited Travel Agents attending the Change Your Latitude functions will also have the chance of winning return trips for two to Tropical North Queensland including airfares, accommodation and tours.
The Tropical North Queensland CHANGE YOUR LATITUDE Roadshow will visit the following locations:
** Adelaide: The Lion Hotel, North Adelaide – Mon, 16 July 2007
** Melbourne: Northcote RSL, Northcote – Tues, 17 July 2007
