Driver dies, 15 injured in tourist bus crash in Malaysia

A driver died and 15 tourists were injured after a tour bus overturned in Malaysia’s Genting Highlands.
Emergency services said the driver lost control of the vehicle as it skidded and flipped over and confirmed he died at the scene.
The bus was carrying 25 Chinese tourists and 15 were taken to hospital for various injuries.
"Fire personnel took about five minutes to remove the victim by using hydraulic rescue equipment, Fiire and Rescue Department senior officer II Engku Fadzir Engku Man told the Bernama news agency.
"Investigations found that the bus rebounded at a corner and hit the road divider before overturning, badly damaging the right side of the bus," said district police chief Supt Mohamad Mansor Mohd Nor.
Three people remain in hospital with injuries ranging from a fractured hip, head and neck injuries and a broken leg.
The bus is owned by HTC Travel and was heading for Kuala Lumpur from Genting at the time of the accident.
