Eastern Airways jets off to Gibraltar from Southampton

Eastern Airways has begun flights to green list destination Gibraltar from Southampton, flying twice weekly year-round.

It marks this first ever scheduled service to the British overseas territory from Southampton Airport, and is one of the few green list destinations currently open to UK tourism.

Eastern Airways has fares from £74.99 one-way, including taxes and hold baggage as standard.

Roger Hage, GM, Eastern Airways, said: "Being on the green list, this UK territory offers an exciting short-break destination aside from its role in UK business. Our work with the Gibraltar Government and the airport and tourism teams have enabled this new service to be commenced adding to our growing list of destinations from Southampton."

Eastern Airways’ services have been carefully reintroduced, aligned to changes in Covid-19 restrictions and resulting travel demand.

Enhanced cleaning measures are employed on-board and throughout the airport for the safety of passengers.

"We warmly welcome Eastern Airway’s new service, opening up another catchment area for Gibraltar. The service will be another boost to our tourism and business communities," said Vijay Daryanani MP, Gibraltar’s Minister for Business, Tourism, Transport & the Port.
