Eastern Airways takes over Manchester-Stansted service
Eastern Airways will start a Manchester to London Stansted service from October 29.
The UK regional airline will take over from Air Berlin on the route, but will increase frequency to three flights each weekday.
An early morning departure (7.15am) from Manchester is aimed at business commuters.
Eastern Airways operated on the route for three years until 2006, but withdrew when Air Berlin started services.
Chris Holliday, Eastern Airways’ chief operating officer, said: “We are not only ensuring a continuation of this important link, but are providing an enhanced schedule with greater flexibility for business and leisure travellers.
“The convenience of our early 7.15am departure from Manchester will ensure business passengers can maximise their day in the South East.”
