Eastern and Oriental Express teams up with celebrity chef Luke Mangan

Belmond has partnered with leading Australian chef and restaurateur Luke Mangan, bringing the chef’s well known culinary flair to Belmond’s Eastern & Oriental Express luxury rail journeys.
The partnership kicks off with the first hosted journey on October 28, 2016 from Singapore to Thailand.
Mangan will craft signature menus for guests together with Eastern & Oriental Express’ executive chef, Yannis Martineau.
Based in Singapore, Mangan operates 19 acclaimed restaurants and also has partnerships with cruise lines and an airline.
"My team and I are absolutely thrilled to have partnered with Eastern & Oriental Express and are looking forward to now evolving our Salt grill restaurant experience from being on shore and at sea, to on board one of Belmond’s luxury trains," Mangan said.

Prior to departing on the three day, two night journey, guests are invited to tour a Singapore food market with the chef and he will host a book signing of his latest book ‘Salt Grill, fine dining for the whole family’ during the trip.

Accommodating just 82 guests in en-suite cabins, luxury rail operator Eastern & Oriental Express connects Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.
Belmond Ltd also operates five more luxury tourist trains including the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, river cruises and a portfolio of luxury hotels.
