EasyJet flight delayed after cabin crew disagreement
EasyJet has apologised after a Gatwick flight yesterday was delayed because of a row between two of the cabin crew.
Flight EZY835 to Belfast had to be parked up while the crew – a man and a woman – were removed and new flight attendants brought on.
Passenger Michael Savage tweeted: "Flight from Gatwick delayed because of cabin crew disagreement/ fight on taxi way. Unbelievable. Crew being changed."
TV presenter and former tennis player Dan Lobb was on board and tweeted: "This is a first. My @easyJet flight has returned to gate because the cabin crew have had a tiff! 1 crew member being offloaded. Delayed.
"Because a couple of crew members don’t get on, the whole @easyjet flight has been delayed!! Unbelievable."
Members of the popular dance band Disclosure were also on board and tweeted: "Two of the cabin crew have a fight and the whole flight has to wait on the tarmac to unload them and get new ones. Insane."
The band later added:
An easyJet spokesman said: "EasyJet can confirm that flight EZY835 from London Gatwick to Belfast returned to stand to replace two crew members following a verbal disagreement between them.
"The safety and welfare of our passengers and crew is easyJet’s highest priority and in order to deliver this easyJet’s cabin crew need to be able to work as a team.
"We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused by the resulting delay."
