EgyptAir black box confirms smoke onboard

The cause of the EgyptAir crash in the Mediterranean remains a mystery after data from one of the black box recovered from the sea revealed smoke on board.
The second black box, the cockpit recorder, is still being repaired by investigators in Paris.
Flight MS804 from Paris to Cairo crashed on May 19, killing all 66 onboard.
Automated electronic messages sent by the plane had shown that smoke detectors went off in a toilet and in the area below the cockpit minutes before the plane disappeared from radar screens.
Investigators said recorded data retrieved from the black box is consistent with those messages.
Egyptian investigators have also revealed that part of the front section of the aircraft’s wreckage showed signs of high temperature damage and soot.
