Luxury cruise operator Emerald Cruises is highlighting city stay extensions across its 2024 European river cruise collection itineraries.

Offering deeper destination immersion, guests will enjoy an included tour of major European cities, and will be based in centrally located hotels.

Nick Hughes, Sales, Strategy & Partnership Director for Scenic UK, said: “City stay extensions have been a notable feature of Emerald Cruises’ expanded 2024 European river cruise collection.”

“Our network of local tour operators ensures our longer itineraries are both memorable and enriching.“

“We have huge ambitions for strengthening the relationships with our valued agent partners over the coming months.”

The 11-day Classic Prague & Danube Delights sailing expands the popular Danube Delights itinerary, with time in the Czech capital. Highlights include a guided walking tour through the Old Town, a Bavarian sausage tasting in Regensburg, and two nights in Budapest, including a traditional folklore show on board and a hike up Gellert Hill.

The 10-day Sensations of Lyon & Provence with Paris combines a cruise through Provence with an extended stay in the French capital. Guests can take a canoeing excursion in Avignon and explore the vineyards of Tournon on a guided hike. Guests enjoy a two-night stay in Paris where they can take a guided tour of Paris and a Seine river cruise.
