Emergency drill to be staged at Liverpool airport today

Wednesday, 16 October 20133 min read

Passengers are being warned that an emergency drill is being staged at Liverpool John Lennon Airport today.

But the airport said no passengers or airlines will be affected by the training taking place.

Starting at 09:00hrs, it will last for three hours and will take place in order to test and exercise procedures within the airport’s emergency plan which is used in the event of a full scale emergency incident at the airport.

A similar exercise was staged last year, based on a simulated collision between two aircraft.
