Emergency landing at UK regional airport

A KLM flight from Norwich to Amsterdam had to make an emergency landing at Norwich Airport this morning due to a technical problem.

Flight KL1502 had to return to the airport shortly after take off,after the Captain reported a warning light in the cockpit to Air Traffic Control.

Emergency services were called to the scene as part of "standard procedures". Nobody was hurt.

"The aircraft circled the airfield to burn off fuel before landing as normal and taxying back to stand," said a spokesman for Norwich Airport.

"All passengers and crew disembarked safely. The Airport is open and operating as usual."

He advised all passengers due to travel with KLM from Norwich International today to check-in as normal.
