Emirates boosts Airbus A380 order

Emirates has upped its order of Airbus A380 super jumbos from 43 to 47.

The airline is the main launch customer for the aircraft and will take delivery of its first A380 in the third quarter of 2008.

Emirates chairman and chief executive Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum said: “The Airbus A380 will be instrumental in helping Emirates meet its growing passenger demand and will do it using one of the most efficient and greenest aircraft ever produced.”
