Balancing Sustainability and Profitability is to be held 26.-30. September, Pärnu, Estonia
The first EETC is taking place in Pärnu, this autumn. Because of the sustainability consequences, the organizers have decided to host a website alongside the conference to enable longer term discussions with a wider range of participants.
They have consequently initiated European Ecotourism Conversations, as a parallel initiative. Anyone is welcome to join! Conversations are held online (facebook, linkedin, twitter, flick, youtube) and aim to:
Engage all interested stakeholders in relevant discussions,
Provide a platform to share stories and offer input on conference themes .
The EETC conference website and blog is designed to bring together all these conversations from many platforms.
Part of the website is the European Ecotourism Directory, where the organizers try to map existing organizations, associations, universities and other relevant ecotourism stakeholders. Listing in the Directory is free of charge.
The conference is now calling for presentations:.
- Each presentation must provide case studies and examples relevant to the respective session topics.
- Speakers and poster presenters must be able to engage the audience, and make presentations in an interactive and engaging manner.
- Each session will be 90 minute long. The length of each presentation (approx. 15 – 30 minutes) will vary depending on the number of speakers in each session.
- Speaker Presentations will be made available online to all conference participants, unless otherwise specified.
