Taiwanese carrier EVA Air will launch new flights to Chicago later this year.
A four times a week service will begin from November 3, and becomes its sixth US route.
Flights will depart Taipei’s Taoyuan International Airport every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday using Wi-Fi enabled Boeing 777 aircraft.
US destinations already served by EVA include Houston, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
Before the Chicago route begins, the airline is adding an additional three flights a week to New York JFK, expanding the service to two flights a day.
Once the Chicago route kicks off EVA will operate an average of 76 flights a week to North America.
It also serves Vancouver and Toronto.
