Starwood Hotels & Resorts’ global sales executive Alison Taylor is stepping down to join American Airlines.
Taylor will join American later this month and serve as senior vice president – global sales.
She will be responsible for overseeing and developing sales and distribution policies globally for the carrier.
She leaves Starwood after 30 years and has spent the past 18 months as senior vice president – global sales organization, heading up MICE sales for the hospitality group.
"Alison has built and led world-class sales teams throughout her career. Her approach to leadership and evolving sales organizations is exactly the kind of fresh thinking we were looking for and fits well with where America is heading," said Andrew Nocella, American’s senior vice president of network planning, alliances, and sales.
