Expanded Shine Awards to be launched

Details of an expanded range of Shine Awards for women in the travel, tourism and hospitality sectors are to be unveiled today (Tuesday).

The number of categories has been doubled to ten for the 2008 awards which will be presented in November.

The new awards cover companies and include female-headed team of the year, flexible working, talent development  and diversity of talent.

Amongst the individual awards are corporate woman, entrepreneur, public sector and young achiever.

The 2008 awards are being formally launched at an event in London tomorrow (Tuesday) where details of a debate on talent management issues will be given.

Supporters of the awards include American Express, Abu Dhabi Tourosm Authority, London Metropolitan University, ABTA, British Hospitality association, Tourism Society and Tourism Alliance.

TravelMole is a media partner of the awards which will be handed out at a ceremony on November 26 at the Daniel Liebeskind Centre at the London Metropolitan University.
