FAA proposes hefty fine on passenger who attacked Delta flight attendant
A passenger is facing a $27,500 fine for allegedly striking a flight attendant. The unnamed passenger was travelling with another passenger who had refused to wear a mask or a seatbelt. The dispute led to the Delta Air Lines plane returning to the gate.
The agency announced that it would start dishing out heavier punishments for unruly airline passengers, of up to $35,000 and possible prison time.
