Insurers for Malaysia Airlines has begun paying initial compensation payments of £30,000 to the families of passengers on the missing flight MH370.
The aircraft went missing on March 8 with 239 on board as it flew from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing and so far no trace has been found.
In the first round of compensation, six Malaysian families and one Chinese family have received payments and insurers are now assessing the claims of 40 more Chinese families.
Relatives of the missing passengers can claim up to $175,000 each.
